From the depths of some house in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley is SFV ACID, who for the past 10 years has been bringing a revitalized acid house and techno sound to the otherwise arid electronic music landscape. His sort of tongue-in-cheek humor covers the genre with a bit of banter that’s lacking in the usual plain Jane covers that you see among the too-serious acid world. He embraces a psychedelic and DIY method in his music and visual style, focusing on the fun side of tripping rather than the extremely introspective.
The sounds are completely ’90s, with fatty synths covering the record’s hard-hitting atmosphere. More of the classic sound and especially refreshing considering the high audio quality compared to the highpoint of the scene. This marks SFV ACID’s first release since his hilariously titled sample pack from last August. Check it out below.
