The latest single off REZZ‘s forthcoming album, A Certain Kind Of Magic, has arrived and it is some real dark magic. From EDC Las Vegas to Coachella, she’s been playing this one out left and right across the festival circuit and you most likely remember it as “that dubstep BANGER.” Now known to be a collaboration with 1788-L, the rapidly rising producer with a serious cyberspace aesthetic – listen to “H E X.”
The production opens with several supernatural, melodic elements before launching into a fast-paced drum break and a harsh, knockout punch of a drop. It’s a fast-track lane to the depths of hell, with enough force to shatter the frozen, ice lake and let loose all of the sinful creatures which lurk below. The pair has us absolutely bewitched, and it’s so good that I don’t even mind.
Stream “H E X” now, ahead of REZZ’s sophomore LP due August 8th via mau5trap. In case you missed it, check out the likewise, spooky lead single “Witching Hour.” Over on Twitter, she’s proposed, “I want u to listen and share with ur friends and maybe ur parents even tho they’ll be like wat the fuck is this shit I will appreciate it I’m proud of it,” so send it to someone who needs a good scare.
