Newly-formed Brooklyn outfit Tiger Tooth have enjoyed quick success with their darkly cerebral techno tracks “Tiger Asylum” and “Baboon Heart”, garnering attention from the likes of Skream, Groove Armada, and Anna Lunoe. To continue the upward trajectory, the group deliver their “Tiger Asylum” remix package with renditions by Krames, Klienfeld, and Power Outage, and NEST HQ has the premiere just for you.
Staying supremely dark, fellow Brooklyn producer Klienfeld transforms “Tiger Asylum” into a relentless piece of minimalistic techno with a bevy of tightly bound percussive elements that keep the original’s swirling chords percolating just below the surface. Power Outage allows for a bit more space in his version, introducing a few well-placed vocal bites against a squelching acid house backbone for a sinister finish.
Krames takes on the B-side, “Monkey Baboon”, and complements the repeated vocal hook with a cavernous and reverberating bassline for a frenzied hedonism that’s tailored for the warehouse.
