If you’re trying to pretend it’s 80 degrees and you’re dancing in a pool of beautiful dancing bodies (and if you live in a part of the world where it’s summer right now, you don’t even have to imagine), look no further than “Don’t Go” from GOLDHOUSE featuring Cappa. This mellow, ultra-sparkly track is sweet and lush with a bright feel to the breakdown that makes me nostalgic for an experience I perhaps haven’t had yet. GOLDHOUSE had this to say about the song:
“Don’t Go” started with just a simple chord progression I wrote that had such a bittersweet feel to it. It kind of felt like the lyrics needed to reflect that which brought about the ‘breaking up even though it hurts’ theme. Adding Cappa in to sing was the cherry on top though, that breathy/sweet delivery in her voice makes the song hit you right in feels.
