Few tracks of this decade are more iconic than Porter Robinson‘s “Language”, premiered live on January 27th, 2012 during BBC Radio 1’s The Essential Mix. It was arguably the turning point between the hard-electro associated with his 2011 Spitfire EP released via OWSLA five years ago to the day and the modern masterpiece that is Porter Robinson’s Worlds.
For much of the past year, hard-dance icon Kayzo and our own hardcore resident, Gammer, have been playing out one of the most beautifully executed remixes of “Language” that I have ever had the fortune of hearing. After months of anticipation, today they release their 160 BPM remix that flutters between hard-dance and nightcore. It’s uplifting and inspiring; one of those tracks that makes you believe you can do anything – and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
On his SoundCloud, Kayzo states, “Thank you Porter for creating one of the most beautiful pieces of electronic music,” and I think most of us can agree. Stream the track below and grab a free download here. Find more of Kayzo and Gammer on SoundCloud.
