This is our story...

It’s only been one month since REZZ dropped her “Nightmare on Rezz Street” Halloween-themed horror mix and four months since mau5trap officially released her second studio album Certain Kind of Magic. Today, the dark electronic queen has returned again with her very own remix of Porter Robinson’s “Divinity.” That’s right, REZZ remixed Porter.

“Divinity” now takes its first step out onto a dancefloor crowded with fans seeking euphoria and dark electronic sounds alike. As REZZ steps up to the intro, she begins lingering subtle basses from beneath the angelic “Lean into my side / Never felt alive / Call the chants inside / We will wait for this / We will wait for this” chorus. The drop arrives at once and it falls from classic Porter into M.C. Escher’s infinite ‘Relativity’ stairs — there are no laws of gravity as REZZ builds her illusion one progression at a time. Echoes and glitches cascade together curating something similar to a robot’s beating heart. REZZ continues on her journey constructing the strange into the strangely brilliant, and this remix brings it all.
