If you’re searching for fresh talent in the ever-growing dubstep scene, direct your attention to Kompany. The Icon Collective graduate portrays his ferocious voice in his latest record released on the heavyweight dubstep label Never Say Die. The Revolt EP is packed with six deftly-produced tracks meant for listeners who want to get rowdy. It opens with “Servo,” an introduction that’s meant to throw you right into the inferno — this track utilizes high-pitched screeches and features one of the hardest riddim snares we’ve heard once you’re halfway through the drop. Kompany joins forces with Never Say Die alum Far Too Loud on the deliciously violent track “Fuckstorm” that’s marked by slimy synthesizers that drip into your ears. Finally, one of the hottest tracks on this EP is “Hit It,” a powerhouse production that dances its way through rising and falling wobbles.
All tracks in the Revolt EP considered, Kompany is stepping onto the scene with a vengeance — this release is for those of us who love our dubstep to keep us on our toes with uninhibited sound design and an ability to forcefully knock us out.
