Last night, bass house aficionado JOYRYDE took over Exchange LA in Downtown Los Angeles in the name of the firefighters who worked tirelessly to keep the city safe over the last few weeks. All proceeds from the event are to be donated to the LAFD, the Humane Society of Ventura County, and victims of the wildfires in LA and Ventura County. JOYRYDE didn’t reveal the lineup for this event other than a performance from himself, but promised to bring some special guests: to put it simply, he delivered. The night saw a throbbing opening set from Adam Auburn, who delivered some smashing house music to get the night going. JOYRYDE took the stage around midnight and played out some of his fan-favorites, bringing some friends on stage along the way: Ghastly, Kayzo, and Borgore joined him on stage for a high-energy back-to-back closing set.
Major shout-out to JOYRYDE and Insomniac for supporting such a worthy cause and bringing people together in the name of doing what’s right. Additionally, you can still donate to the cause through a GoFundMe page set up by JOYRYDE — find it here.
