This is our story...

To say that Hospital Records has been an influential figure in drum ‘n’ bass would, at the very least, be a massive understatement. The label is celebrating an illustrious 21 years of innovation and tastemaking spread across a staggering 300+ tune catalogue with a brand new compilation featuring an all-star roster. The mammoth 68-track comp features tracks from an astounding lineup of Mat Zo, Noisia, Machinedrum, Nu: Tone, Alix Perez, Etherwood, as well as NEST HQ alums S.P.Y. and Whiney to name a few.

As a taste of what listeners can expect ahead of the comp’s release at the end of the month, Hospital has released a new collab between label mainstays Metrik and Fred V & Grafix. Equal parts glistening anthem and head-banging rock n roll, “Tension” featuring Kate Westall strikes a balance between relentless brutality and a gradually building thunderstorm. Westall’s angelic vocals float atop a grinding bassline weaving in and out of a shimmering melody that ascends up towards the heavens in wave after wave of euphoria.

You can get “Tension (ft. Kate Westall)” when you pre-order Hospital’s “We Are 21” compilation which drops January 27th. Follow Hospital Records on SoundCloud and Twitter for all the latest updates.
