This is our story...

For their first mix of 2019, Halcyon Veil rolls out an ominous group of tracks from San Antonio’s own Der Kindestod. The mix compiles all the things the label is famous for, electroacoustic intensity, looming dark synths, and a mixture of 21st-century underground consciousness under esoteric instrumentals. Der Kindestod, meaning “killed by death,” put together a group of tracks with origins ranging from Japanese composer Akira Yamaoka to English singer-songwriter Kate Bush. It’s also got a Rabit x Aaliyah mashup remix on here, which I was pleasantly surprised to hear. It’s a short and sweet mix and if you’re wondering what direction Halcyon Veil is going in and what they have in store for 2019, check it out.
