From his unforgettable serenade “Lo Que Siento” to his more energetic tracks like “CR-V,” Cuco continues to capture audiences with his catchy blend of both English and Spanish tunes. The Los Angeles native further propelled into the spotlight with his Chiquito EP and will join Kali Uchis on her ‘In Your Dreams Tour’ later this fall. In addition to her current headlining tour, Clairo has also found her own success with her breakout single “Flaming Hot Cheetos” and recent diary 001 EP.
As part of the Songs From Scratch series from Yours Truly and Adidas Originals, Cuco and Clairo have united for a new single titled “Drown.” The bundle of dreamy pop finds the two talents swapping smooth verses over warm synths and funky basslines from Ricky Reed. Gleaming with charm and soul, their latest tune is a sonic treat that has excited for their solo efforts and collaborations in the near future.
Clairo also shared her insight on “Drown” when the track premiered earlier this week on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show:
“I feel like this collaboration was supposed to happen. I think we’ve always wanted to work together and it’s really cool that finally got to sit down in the studio. We both got into the studio with zero ideas, but I think it was really cool the way it ended up coming together. It was really natural and it ended up being better than anything I could have expected.”
