This week, drum and bass connoisseurs Kasra and InsideInfo released their latest collaborative project under their Circuits alias with Euphoria EP. Out now on Kasra’s imprint Critical Music, Euphoria is a blistering 4-track release that showcases the respective sounds of each producer. We last heard from Circuits when they made an appearance on Critical Music’s New Energy Vol. 1 compilation at the end of 2018, so it’s refreshing to get some new material so soon. Kicking off with the heavyweight lead single “Euphoria Part 1,” this EP is yet another slamming release for the duo who represent the some of the finest in today’s drum and bass.
Since both Kasra and InsideInfo are exceptional curators (check out this guest mix from the pair — it’s mental), we decided to ask them about some of their favorite tunes to play out right now. These guys usually play a ton of IDs in their sets, so we unfortunately don’t have our hands on their prized dubs, but here’s a few selects from Circuits in honor of Euphoria EP along with a description for each tune in their own words.
DLR & Hoppa – A World That Looked The Same
“DLR & Hoppa bringing back the funk.”
Alix Perez & Monty – Good To Me
“Beautiful piece of music from the deep masters.”
Circuits – Euphoria Part 1
“Lead track from our new EP, some rave era attitude.”
Mefjus – Sizzle Fizzle (Circuits Rewire)
“Our take on this Mefjus monster has just dropped on the Manifest remix album.”
Shyun & Cruk – Wreckage
“Huge combination here, power and a deft touch.”
