This Friday marks the release of Big Boi’s third solo studio album, BOOMIVERSE, on Epic Records. The LP will feature a dozen new tracks from the Atlanta rapper, including recent singles “Kill Jill” featuring Jeezy and Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike, “Mic Jack” with Adam Levine, Scar, and Sleepy Brown, and the Gucci Mane & Pimp C-featured “In The South.” Ahead of release this week, Big Boi has shared today the fourth cut from BOOMIVERSE, and interestingly, it’s straight out of the house music world.

On “Chocolate,” Big Boi has snagged Play It Down boss Jesse Rose‘s 2014 single of the same name, in which LA rapper Troze laid down his unforgettable hook about chocolate which ultimately led to Apple picking it up for the iPhone 6 commercial in 2016. You probably remember it, “Ay, just cashed a check, and I’m bout to blow it all on chocolate…” Big Boi hasn’t included too many changes to Rose’s initial instrumental, keeping it largely as is with added verses riding over the song’s chunky, rolling bassline.
