With future bass being one of the most popular contemporary EDM sub-genres, producers are prompted to capitalize on its unavoidable influence. LA duo Vindata and Portland’s own Electric Mantis have joined forces to prove that the style is still rich with potential. Their single, “You Can Stay” featuring singer/songwriter Liv Dawson is an optimistic, multi-faceted track ripe with an innovative purpose.
After the successful release of Vindata’s collaborative track with Skrillex and NSTASIA “Favor,” the twosome solidified their come-up, proving their dexterity is paralleled with the best. But Vindata aren’t the only artists credited on “You Can Stay” who have gained notoriety in recent months: the moody-chic Liv Dawson is currently touring with Grammy-nominated singer Khalid, and Electric Mantis released a single in December via The Nations’ independent label Lowly Palace. With a heightened sense of creativity, “You Can Stay” is stitched together with a bittersweet energy, characterized by grainy bounce and crisp feminine vocals.
After establishing a genuine sense of artistic synchronicity, Vindata and Electric Mantis are embarking on the co-headlining ‘You Can Stay’ spring tour starting in March.
