This is our story...

During the wide-sweeping blizzard of nostalgia that overtook Facebook last week, I thought it’d be interesting to reach out to the OWSLA roster to get their input. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about or abstained from going on social media last week, there was an organic overtaking from friends, musicians, and other celebrities who virally spread the challenge to “post 10 of the most influential albums from your teenage years without thinking too much about it,” or something to that effect. I personally took part, shamelessly revealing my affinity for angsty screamo and Dre’s 2001 to my extended friend group.

Much to my delight, half a dozen artists from the OWSLA roster got back to me about it — including josh pan, Sliink, Wiwek, Vindata, Basecamp, and Mark Johns — and, as with my own inclusions, their sentimental selections brought on an assortment of smiles, laughs, nods, and head scratches.
