nest10 // VOL 38 Tracklist
Callie Reiff & Ronaissance – Tin Machine [NEST]
Sixteen-year-old Callie Reiff and fellow NYC-based producer, Ronaissance, go beast mode on the metallic, bass-heavy “Tin Machine” out this week on NEST. Laced with tons of crunch and tempo switch ups, this one’s a strong addition to any energetic DJ set. – JB
Sofie Letitre – The Ultimate Love Song [self-released]
“To celebrate our gig at Pitch festival this weekend, here’s a free song we’ve been playing in our live shows recently. Enjoy!” say indie electronic act, Sofie Letitre, who released the top notch Uncanny Valley EP via Noisia’s Division Recordings late last year. – JB
Bro Safari – Follow (Zomboy Remix) [self-released]
Zomboy has become a go-to favorite for expert sound design and heavy synthesis. His releases this year have especially stood out, first with his “Like A Bitch” single followed by his intricate Neon Grave EP. His latest, a remix of Bro Safari’s new “Follow” track, is crisp, anthemic, and setlist ready. – FF
Atik – #GHOSTDANCE [self-released]
Mystery producer Atik launched their project earlier this year with similar branding to the likes of Marshmello and Slushii. Their sound, however, is more akin to the hyped up trashcan trap of one of our favorite ones to watch, Dapp. Atik’s latest, “#GHOSTDANCE” is the perfect mix of frantic and playable. – FF
YDG – All Night [self-released]
LA duo YDG continue to showcase their wide range of production styles with new dubstep single “All Night”. This is a pretty heavy departure from their trap-focused previous releases, including the bubbly “Burnt Rice” collab with Shawn Wasabi, but their new track marks a solid new direction. – FF
Toronto Is Broken – Group Organism [Sub Slayers]
Today, we offer a uniquely exclusive tune from Hinckley-based dnb artist Toronto Is Broken. I say unique because he’s given NEST the exclusive first listen of the latest from his upcoming EP. “Group Organism” is a weaponized mechanical dnb railgun demolishing anything and everything in its path. Grab the download now and peep the full EP tomorrow. – NB
Abimanyu – Unreal ft. Gravity [self-released]
Premiered last week, Abimanyu’s latest is so heavy we had to provide you with a direct DL today. Chaotic bass music with a hint of melodic dubstep. The layering is seemingly bottomless yet easily digestible. – NB
FractaLL feat. Gaby Henshaw – That Flow [self-release]
Honestly, the wonky, off-tempo synth in the beginning drew me to this song. As we hit the bassline, I’m further enticed by its acid foundation and cleeeaaaan production. Proper house music. – NB
White Cliffs – Good (White Cliffs Remix) [self-released]
White Cliff releases are rare, but dang it they’re always so saucy. Just an overall easy listen. – D
Wuh Oh – Wolverines [Secret Songs]
I don’t quite know what it is that captivates me about this tune. The polyrhythm in the drums and the youthful sound design coupled with mature melody writing—these elements procure a song built of wit. Smart electronic music. I dig it. – D
