London’s Ministry of Sound venue has been an iconic landmark of dance music and culture for over twenty years, not just in the UK, but world-wide. And this week, the night-life mecca has called on the support of fans, DJs, and club-goers everywhere to help keep the space from closing amidst the threat of potential new building plans.

Check the virtual tour video, read M.O.S’s update on how to help out, and download a Nest HQ exclusive M.O.S-themed original from rising talent, Durante below:

THE PROBLEM:
In 2009 we became aware of plans to build a 41-storey residential tower block 10 metres from the front gate of Ministry of Sound. If this building goes ahead as planned and the new residents complain about noise from our club, it is highly likely we will lose our licence and be forced to close.

We fought the application tooth and nail for two years – and finally, in October 2011, Southwark’s planning committee saw sense and rejected it unanimously. However, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has called in the application, and on 19th November 2013 he will decide our fate.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Many thanks to everyone who has supported our campaign so far. We still have a massive fight on our hands to save Ministry of Sound, and need your help to show Boris why he should #savemosclub.

We’ve one last push before Ministry of Sound’s fate is decided on 19th November and we need everyone to tweet the following to Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London.

Boris, be our hero and save @MinistryofSound! @MayorofLondon – we need a #SuperMayor!!
