This is our story...

LA-bred Hex Cougar is back at it with another delightfully heavy remix, this time of Kaskade & deadmau5’s “Move For Me.” Since 2014, he has established himself by cleverly retuning future bass. After a year of SoundCloud love, Hex signed to Shifty Rhythms and released the metamorphic singles “YNGBLOOD” and “Dungeons & Dragons.” Last year he released an 8-bit themed flip of Louis The Child’s “It’s Strange (feat. K.Flay).” Whether it’s his own productions or a remix, Hex gives electronic originality an ingenious stylistic twist.

“Move For Me” was the first single released from Kaskade’s 2008 Strobelite Seduction album. It was an instant classic and an obvious challenge to any of those who choose to give legendary hits a new taste of melody. Hex keeps the original vocals clear and ups the percussion to give bursts of cosmic synths room to explore. Innovating a stunning new mood, the song peaks with a huge break in percussion. The chromatic bass line flies away into a whirlwind of affectionate instrumentals. It is a respectful tribute to the legends themselves and a look into Hex’s heart and soul.
