Dog Blood’s Middle Finger Pt. 2 – The Remixes EP is out today on OWSLA, packed with a solid selection of works from around the world, kicking off with some fire from the Jersey-based Brick Bandits rep, Dj Sliink, who kills em with “the-the-the-the-the-the beat” in his riot-ready, metal-meets-club rendition of “Shred Or Die.”
Followed by a laid-back-vs-rapidfire footwork theme from South London’s Bok Bok, (co-founder of UK-based imprint, Night Slugs alongside L-Vis 1990) who gives us a sleek, smokey remix of “Middle Finger Pt. 2.”
Rising Parisian duo, and recent OWSLA signees, Alesia take “Middle Finger Pt. 2” in a completely different direction, which has reeling, blown-out bassline action paired with towering rave leads and doomsday warehouse tech.
The EP closes out with a massive slow-burner from Chicago legend, Kevin Saunderson, who turns “Shred Or Die” into a seven minute house odyssey, where “Kill Em With the Beat” sound bites drift in and out of sync with driving dance-floor rhythms.
Bonus Treat: If you’re signed up for NEST IV (big-ups to all the homies who’ve joined so far! y’all are dope AF <3) you’ll get an incredible bonus exclusive “Middle Finger Pt. 2” remix from Glasgow-based Lucky Me hip-hop innovator, S-Type. *nice one emoji*
