This is our story...

Previously represented by Mad Decent, Daktyl takes his incredible talents to a new stage with the forthcoming release of his The Act of Hesitation EP on Counter Records. Set for June 20th, the EP has already garnered a ton of support from the likes of Billboard, Rolling Stone, and BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.

The Act of Hesitation boasts some top-notch collaborators, including Dopecal, Micah Freeman, JJ Draper, Sweater Beats, as well as UK vocalist Krrum on the title track. “The Act of Hesitation” has a tinge of pop hidden beneath its stark experimental obscurity. The vocals ground it all into sanity but the instrumental diligently tries to break free from convention. It’s a beautiful introduction for what’s to come.

On the forthcoming EP Daktyl said, “I was going in a direction I wasn’t completely happy with and hesitating a lot about whether to continue down that path or try to start on the creative path I’ve wanted to be on for years.” We’re excited to see what else this iconoclastic record has in store as the young artist finally takes steps down the path he’s rightfully deserved.
