BNR was one of the first labels directly responsible for fueling my obsession with dance music. Originally just a home for the label head’s own records, Boysnoize Records has continually evolved in its decade of existence, with Alex Ridha (p/k/a Boys Noize) following up his own scene-defining releases like Oi Oi Oi and Power with contributions from an entire family of forward-leaning artists including folks like Djedjotronic, SCNTST, Jan Driver, Spank Rock, and many more.
Over the past 12 months, Boys Noize and his now-10-year-old imprint have been celebrating in style, touring the globe and releasing new tunes under the almighty hashtag #BNR10YR. Along for the ride have been Los Angeles video mavens, LIL INTERNET and Glenjamn, the former of which has directed a 12-minute documentary featuring live tour footage and candid interviews with Soulwax’s Dewaele brothers, Miss Kittin, Club Cheval, and more.
